Happy National Apprentice Week!
Motofix Group this week enjoyed celebrating 20 years of apprentice training within the Group, which was founded in 1999. The National Apprentice Week has been a fantastic opportunity to showcase their success by sharing daily social media posts recognising current apprentices achievements.
The Groups Executive Chairman, Richard Tutt, strongly believes in the power of apprenticeships to mold a well-rounded and highly skilled workforce. He himself began his career as an apprentice, eventually progressing to run his own business and becoming a key figure in the accident repair sector.

Motofix Group appointed Silver Award at NBRA Greener Bodyshop ceremony in recognition of the group’s commitment to environmental sustainability through reduced carbon footprint.
The ceremony was hosted by the NBRA and held at the National Sea Life Centre in Birmingham on 31 October.
The group achieved significantly reduced emissions across its eight Bodyshop sites through various initiatives including SWR waste management resulting in a 99% reduction in waste to landfill, switching to Devilbiss spray guns and Unic gun wash machines reducing volatile organic compounds by 75% and using Minden dust extraction and IDES LED lighting to achieve substantial energy reduction.

PRESS RELEASE: Motofix Group achieves Electric and Hybrid vehicle repair qualifications at all eight repair centres
Motofix Group has gained the Institute of the Motor Industry’s (IMI) HEV Level-3; a qualification designed to inform technicians how to work safely on electric and hybrid vehicles whilst carrying out diagnostic, testing and repair activities.
The standard set out by BS10125 requires each Bodyshop to have at least one person certified in this area. However, with the increasing presence of hybrid and electrically powered vehicles, the Group decided that all relevant staff should be trained to handle these vehicles to effectively manage the ever-growing number of electric and hybrid vehicles.
Motofix Accident Repair Centres and AutoRaise announce Career Guidance Event
Motofix Accident Repair Centres, in conjunction with AutoRaise, are delighted to announce a unique Career Guidance event to be hosted by Motofix at their Yeovil Accident Repair Centre on the 23rd February 2017
The event is co-produced by Motofix and AutoRaise, the vehicle repair industry charity set up to address the industry’s chronic skills shortage. As one of the area’s leading independent vehicle repairers, Motofix is a large local employer as well as running a number of other sites across the South of England

Motofix Group announced yet another addition to the Group’s growing accident repair network – Exeter’s premier vehicle accident repairer Fairweather Autoshine.
Motofix Group Chief Executive Richard Tutt said “This latest acquisition follows that of Yeovil’s Andrew Symms Car Body Repairs and shows how serious we are about building our presence in the South West Region. This new site will complement our existing prestige sites and further extend our prestige manufacturer approvals. The company has approvals from some of the World’s leading prestige vehicle manufacturers.
