Motofix Group has secured Renault approval at its Yeovil facility, highlighting the Group’s continued commitment to vehicle manufacturer standard repair capabilities.

The approval follows an extensive audit process by Renault during which Motofix Yeovil was praised for its ‘high levels of expertise, attention to detail and exacting standards’.

The accreditation builds upon Motofix Group’s close working relationship with the Renault brand which has approvals already in place at three of the Group’s eight centres – Exeter, Cirencester and Northampton.

Motofix Group has strengthened its senior management team by appointing Liam O’Brien to the position of Group Support Services Director and Andy Lawlor to the position of Business Development Director.

Following an in-depth review of the business and its five-year plan, these changes are part of a number of key strategic appointments to execute their strategy to deliver best in class solutions to the vehicle repair market.

Having worked with the Group for the last six years as a Management Accountant, Liam will now be focusing on developing the Group’s financial, technical and central claims solution teams.

Motofix Group achieves Electric and Hybrid vehicle repair qualifications at all 8 repair centres

PRESS RELEASE: Motofix Group achieves Electric and Hybrid vehicle repair qualifications at all eight repair centres

Motofix Group has gained the Institute of the Motor Industry’s (IMI) HEV Level-3; a qualification designed to inform technicians how to work safely on electric and hybrid vehicles whilst carrying out diagnostic, testing and repair activities.

The standard set out by BS10125 requires each Bodyshop to have at least one person certified in this area. However, with the increasing presence of hybrid and electrically powered vehicles, the Group decided that all relevant staff should be trained to handle these vehicles to effectively manage the ever-growing number of electric and hybrid vehicles.

State of the art Wheel Alignment and ADAS technology

PRESS RELEASE: Motofix Group equips seven of their eight sites with state of the art Wheel Alignment and ADAS technology.

The Motofix Group are pleased to announce that seven Motofix Accident Repair Centres sites have been equipped with state of the art Pro-Align Hunter 4 Wheel Alignment and VAS6430 ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance) technology, as approved by the VWG Group.

The new solution, supplied and fitted by Pro-Align, means that selected Motofix sites are now able to deliver state of the art geometry alignment and ADAS set-up – ensuring optimal safety, performance and accuracy of safety critical equipment just as the manufacturer intended.

Motofix Group deliver AQP training to Vehicle Damage Assessors

PRESS RELEASE: The Motofix Group are leading the way with AQP training for all Vehicle Damage Assessors. With new ABI guidelines that came into effect on 1st October 2017, anyone categorising motor salvage has to hold the Appropriate Qualified Person Qualification by October 2019. Motofix were quick to recognise the importance of providing their staff with this training. The difficulty of repairing complex modern vehicles safely after damage is a key factor reflected within the new voluntary code of practice.

Although Vehicle Damages Assessors are not required to hold the qualification, Motofix took the view that training all Damage Assessors would lead to improved transactions when working with their engineer counterparts.
